Hello all you Rodeo fans!
My name is Sara Harrmann, your 2018 Mid-Western Rodeo Princess. I am 17 years old and am a Senior at New London High School. After high school I plan on going to college to pursue my dream of becoming an equine veterinarian. I currently work two jobs. The first one is at Trail View Farms where I train rescue/ kill pen horses and help find them forever homes. My other job is milking cows at Oberstadts Farm. My hobbies include trail riding, FFA, 4-H, showing my horses and dogs, driving my pony Sky, and barrel racing with my trusty horse Lexi.
My love of horses started when I was born. I was so lucky that my mom shared her passion of horses with me. When I was six years old my mom started taking me to local fun shows and trail rides. I recently joined the National Barrel Horse Association to continue my barrel racing journey. I also do 4-H where I show both my horse and pony.
When I was little my mom took me to the Mid-Western Rodeo. After that I have always wanted to become rodeo royalty. I would canter my horse around the pasture pretending I was a rodeo princess waving to any car that passed my grandparents farm. Now I have made that dream a reality! I cannot wait to see what this year has to bring!
I would like to thank the Ziebell family and the Manawa Lions Club for putting on an outstanding rodeo year after year and also my mom and dad without them I would not be where I am today with my horses. Most of all I would like to thank you, rodeo fans, for making us the greatest show on dirt and making the rodeo bigger and better every year!
I can’t wait to see and meet you guys at the rodeo!
