Hi Rodeo Fans! |

I'm Amanda Breitenfeldt, and I am extremely honored to have been chosen the 2008 Manawa Rodeo Queen! |

I also carried the title of 2007 Manawa Rodeo Princess. I love promoting this wonderful rodeo and the western way of life. I graduated from Tigerton High School in 2007, and am now attending UW-River Falls. I am majoring in Animal Science. I also love photography and hope to have a career in that some day. My passion for horses started at a very young age. While visiting Mackinac Island I immediately fell in love with this majestic animal. After getting my first horse I started barrel racing and also joined the Shawano County 4-H Drill Team. Now, four years later, I am very proud to be on the prestigious Rodeo City Riders Drill Team. I love to barrel race and do so every change I get! I love my two barrel horses. I use my 15-year-old Appendix Quarter Horse gelding for everything! He is amazing and willing to do everything I ask of him. As many of you know, having a mare can be an interesting experience but she is still a wonderful horse. Both horses have earned us our championships. In NBHA I am the district one 4D youth champion and also placed second in 4D open. Throughout my horse career my mom has been a huge supporter of mine. I definitely would not be where I am today without her help. I would like to thank my mom and all my friends who have supported me through everything. Last but, certainly not least, I would like to thank Pete, Connie, the Manawa Lions, all of the sponsors and our great rodeo fans. I hope you will stop by the Queen Booth at the rodeo to say hi!
